Charles River Laboratories is partnering with Autolomous to digitize laboratory workflows for quality control testing at its biologics testing solutions sites in North America and Europe.
The companies announced the launch of Apollo Orchestrate, a new capability within Charles River’s Apollo platform built on Autolomous’ autoloMATE laboratory execution system (LES). The system connects Charles River’s laboratory systems, including Apollo and LabWare LIMS, to create a digital workflow from sample submission through laboratory execution and review.
The initial deployment will support testing in a GMP environment and is intended to replace paper-based processes with digital records and reduce manual data entry and review. Charles River said the initial rollout will establish a model for potential expansion across its biologics testing solutions sites.
The partnership is part of Charles River’s broader effort to digitize its laboratory operations. The company has also identified modernization and digital capabilities as part of its current strategic priorities.
